Christmas Fayre, Services, Dinner and Apps

Dear Parents and Carers,

We look forward to seeing you all at our Christmas Fayre, after school today. With all the hard work and commitment that member of the PTA have out into our Christmas Fayre I am sure it will be a very enjoyable event for us all.

We are also looking forward to our other Christmas celebrations including:
Carol Service

  • Tuesday 12th December at our parish church
  • Children in years 3 to 6 and their families. Children in full school uniform arrive at 6.30pm for a 7pm start

Nativity Service

  • Wednesday 13th December at our parish church
  • Children in years 1 and 2 and their families, 1.30pm start.

School Christmas Dinner

  • Friday 15th December
  • Bookings need to be made online as soon as possible.

Some space for parking is available, for the Carol Service and Nativity Service, outside The Priory Gatehouse.
We are very grateful to the Sargeant family for enabling this support for our families.

I am pleased to be back in school, following my time on jury service. When I have been in classes I have seen many of our children working very hard and making pleasing progress with their learning. During English lessons I have seen our new ‘Write Stuff’ approach to teaching writing being very beneficial in regard to helping children learn better about how to be effective writers and in regard to developing their writing stamina.

You may have seen news coverage in the last few days about the increased threat of sexual offending via Live streaming apps. We are always keen to keep our children as safe as possible and so we are sharing this with you. If a parent or carer is worried about a child seeing inappropriate things online https://www.thinkuknow.co.uk has more information.

Regards,

Mr M Carter-Tufnell
