Welcome to St Osyth C of E Primary School!

St Osyth C of E Primary School was originally founded in 1856 as an all-age school, “according to the principles and practices of the Church of England”. It was rebuilt on the existing site in 1970. We have eleven classes, a large hall equipped for PE, open shared areas, ICT Suite, sensory room, kitchen, EYFS outdoor area, two playgrounds, covered heated swimming pool and large playing field.

We are a Foundation School with a Church character in a rural location in the centre of St Osyth village, 4 miles west of Clacton on Sea. Based on Essex’s ‘Sunshine Coast’, St Osyth is the driest recorded place in the UK. Our priority admission area includes all homes situated in the Ecclesiastical Parish of St Peter & St Paul, St Osyth which totals 28 square miles.

Our website has been redesigned, and we are restoring all the pages as fast as possible.  We apologise for any inconvenience if what you need is missing, and ask that if you have any query about the content here, please do not hesitate to contact the School office.   Thank you.
