Welcome to St Osyth Church of England Primary School

We are proud to serve our village and the wider community. We are a welcoming, happy school where everyone is helpful, compassionate and respectful of each other. The children at St Osyth are delightful and enjoy their learning. We have a dedicated team of teachers, learning support assistants and other support staff who strive to ensure that every child here is successful, confident, responsible and achieves well. We are  proud to be a member of the Vine Schools’ Trust who foster a philosophy of an outward facing excellent education, where the development of a resilient Christian character is key.

Applications for Reception 2019

We really understand how important it is for parents to choose the school which is right for their child and for them. Therefore, we warmly invite all parents, in St Osyth and the surrounding area, of children that will be joining Reception in 2019 to come and see our school. To do this please contact our school office to arrange an individual meeting or to join one of our open mornings:

Wednesday 5th December; 9.30am to 10.30am

Friday 7th December; 9.30am to 10.30am

Wednesday 9th January; 9.30am to 10.30am

Whether you join us for an open morning or an individual visit you will have the opportunity to see our children learning and to ask any questions that you may have. Our aim is to provide you with all the information you want so that you can make the right decision for your child.

Parents can apply for a place at a school which is not their most local. Indeed, quite a few of our families choose to travel to us from Clacton and other local areas.

Applications for Reception 2019 open on Monday 12 November 2018 and the closing date for applications is 15 January 2019.

From 12 November 2018, applications can be made online via www.essex.gov.uk/admissions. 98% of parents in Essex applied online last year.

Our website provides you with lots of information, if you require any further details or a paper copy of any of the information on the website please do feel free to contact us.
